You are getting it in kind....
as the house prices are coming down, you could be saving thousands if your purchase is imminent.

Indeed, my sister is all into the buying of houses and reckons that now is a great time to buy if you have access to cash :y

The problem is working out when they are at rock bottom, and buy before they go up again.

The saving on your mortgage will be more than offset in raised shop/fuel prices due to a further fall in the exchange rate

According to the BBC one o'clock news .........house prices went up nearly 2% in January......the first rise in twelve months....one swallow does not make a summer....but.........it might be worth spending your big pot of money now........and then take advantage of the low interest rates,...............just a thought. :y :y :y :y

But base your mortgage on a higher rate ab you know it will go back up to compenate.  Look back over the rates for as many years as you intend to take your mortgage out for.  That way you know the worst you may expect to pay.

Slighty misleading as it applies to interest only mortgages.
You still owe the capital.
But you could think of it as free rent. :-* :-* :-* :-*

Low interest rates are not good for us, but on the upside, at least I'm on a tracker with no collar.

Will have to have a shake-up and find some better deals.
