That'll be the Defender, pulling a poor stranded Rangey to safety ;D ;D

even with road tyres, getting a rangie stuck in these conditions is probably down to lack of knowledge. Be worth going a proper LR 4x4 course if you can afford it :y

I wouldn't disagree - but it would NOT grip, tried all combination of methods to get out. The front tyres really need changing too. I was slowly making progress, but wasn't going to turn down the offer of a rope :y

Yes - I would absolutely love to do an off road course...

I did an off road course in N Wales a few years ago in Toyota Landcruisers... I thought it was brilliant :) :)

What you can`t see is the rest of the scene behind the camera: a redoubtable old Series Landy pulling the Defender (and the Rangey) together! ;D

I do know one person who is a Professional Driver who even though we got a Range Rover stuck with road tyres on, got us unstuck.... :y

Same Rangie? ;D
Ideally, in the snow, I should have had some sacks and a shovel, could have got free then :y

Considering the type of vehicle I would have thought it was purely down to the tread pattern on the tyres. As I mentioned in annother thread, I used to have a viva with Colway M&S remoulds on it, and have driven it with no problems in deeper snow than that looks.
Forget the rims in the pic and the sheer size of these tyres, Mine were like 2 square shaped crossed connected to each other on the tread pattern. But similar to these.
Wore down quick after the snow, but was the best fun I ever had on four in the snow.
Would work a trat on the RR. :y

Unless you go mad on extreme mods the series are pretty unbeatable. We used to pull many newer motors out of trouble on off road days with ours!!! 8-)

Well it will do, it's not a 'Series'
Daughter was delighted with the photo, really good one.
