Title: What`s for dinner?
Post by: Debs. on 08 February 2009, 13:58:46
It`s well below freezing and snowing-heavily (again) here in the mountains today; so, to warm my cockles, I`m making a vat pan of (hot) 'chill con carne'....couple of baked potatoes in the oven to have with it and a dab of sour-cream for the top.......Mmmmmm!

What`s everyone else having for Sunday lunch?

Half leg of lamb with roasties, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots & rich gravy. My own personal touch to any roast is peel & halve a couple of onions & luzz 'em in the tray. They come out soft & sweet, mmmmm.
Debs, i love chilli & jacket tates. If you've got any left over chilli, make or buy frozen pastry, roll it out with some flour & make pasties, egg wash & 20 mins. @ 180 degrees.
Also works with leftover bolognase or curry. Any left over shepherds pie is lovely on hot buttered toast the next day. :P ::)
