Title: Cooling System Cleaner

Having just repaired a car with serious head gasket failure.., lots of oil and gunk in the cooling system, we are wondering if there is a chemical available that will 'degrease' or help remove all this oil and gunk from the cooling system or should we just keep flushing?

Various options ranging from the use of Fernox to Forte Coolant de-greaser.

I have had good success with traffic film remover in the past to.

Thanks, wasn't sure there was anything that would do the job but will look those up now.

I've heard you can use washing powder?

Would you use Persil or Ariel and would the expansion tank be whiter than white afterwards????  ::)

Is that biological or non biological, and does it matter which for the auto's ;D ;D ;D

Persil or daz might work well actually...As it gets the skid marx outa my boxers....So its gotta get the gunk outa miggys aye it???? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

lol, I'd already found my way to the Forte Bio Degreaser stuff on ebay and ordered that.  Whiter than white sounds good too though he he!
