Over the past 3 days I have been on a course which qualifies me to work on major incidents (plane crashes, rail crashes, large fires, etc) It goes through how to set up the relevant controls and safety measures and how to deal with the medical side of one of these incidents. MMIMs stands for Major Medical Incident Management.
The reason I am really chuffed is that my job doesn't allow me to do many courses and I am really interested in this field. As well as passing I got reccomended for instructor. So if I pass another instructor course I could teach this principle/method.
Now, when I move back to the UK in May (its just been changed, eek!) I am going to be volunteering for a local First Responder scheme because I dont get to do anything really medical in my job and I am fed up of spending my days behind a desk.
With this qual I should have my arm bitten off! Cant wait! :y
(by the way, dont get sick in Surrey from May onwards! muwhahahaha.......) ;D ;D ;D
