Title: JamesV6CDX
Post by: TheBoy on 19 January 2007, 21:21:17
A big public thank you to JamesV6CDX for his help today.

He gave up his day off, despite a stressful and unpleasant few days for him, drove a considerable distance to help me with the Rover - a job I wouldn't have attempted on my own.

We read and hear so much bad stuff about the population today, but days like today genuinely restore my faith in the human race.  When someone who I have never met give up a significant amount of his free time to unselfishly help another person is truely amazing.

As I have said in a post a few days ago, I find such things truely humbling.

And he is a genuinely, decent,  friendly guy, and his enthusism for cars is infectious.

So, James, a massive thanks to you, and I am proud to be able to call you a friend.

:y

Yeah, I agree. James offered to take a gearbox off a car he is stripping, box it up and send it to me by courier to save me the drive to his place.

Top guy. Exellent attitude.

Well Done indeed!

As another beneficiary of the alturism that seems to be unique to this forum, I must say it is very humbling!

I just hope to be able to return the favour, or pass it on !

I think that because we all favour a certain marque of vehicle, that put's us all in a very similar mindset.

It's a joy to be associated with like minded individuals.

I reckon, by and large, that we're all fairly reliable benevolent and easy going kind's of folks.

OK, we've all got our individual idiosyncrasies, (remind you of something?), but for the most part we're very accepting of others.

I'm sure somene said one time that your car is a projection of your persona!!

I rest my case.

(But don't get me started on Big Brother! I have in the past caught bits and pieces of it because SWMBO watches it, but I've declared that I will walk out of the room if it's on the TV in future! It's an abomination!)
