Me, I wouldn't........
First I pay all the debts and bills,
Second Buy a big house with plenty of grounds,
Third Buy the very last omega made (no exspence spaired
Fourth build a big garage on the grounds of my house, big enough for 6-7 cars,
Fifth stock up on all parts for the omega range,
Sixth evvery tool that would be needed (including diagnostic tools as well)
Seventh caravan and camping site out the back in a field and mondernised for that reason,
Eighth invite all OOFER'S to come to my place for a big OOF party and do repairs three times a year
Nineth If any oofer needed to repair there mig then they are more than welcome to use the garage anytime
And finally have as many mod items as possible for anyone who wanted to buy them at discount rates for oofers plus new engines for every mig range there is and only charge a donation for all of it.
Plus I would also employ mig lovers to repair other peoples' migs and charge a donation for it, (just to keep the place going with stock.
How kind can I be eh?
This would all be my way of saying thanks to the admin team for this great site for developing oof to help everyone out in saving money on there migs.

- house brought up to scratch and then revalued and possibly sold
- Buy my favourite car, when i figure out what it is
- given the interest rates, probably carry on working, depends how much i won
- organise a school reunion and tell everyone I hate, that my fortune is from my own hard work
-
I will write you a postcard, while glancing at the Pacific ocean through the panoramic window of my
avante-garde beach house...
:) :) :) :y
PS. Nice illustrations...
-
Pay off all debts
Buy a nice house with land overlooking the sea in my favourite area of Cornwall.
On the land - decent garage, and a small caravan site (5CL?) to get some income.
Buy all the things I want which I cannot afford
-
If it was a big enough lottery win then I would buy a disused airfield.
Imaginethe possibilities. Big hangers for OOF Cambelt meets. Fully equiped workshops, ramps and pits etc. Plenty of camping space. Just imagine the ammount of motor events you could create.
Mig Drag Racing
Mig Slalom
Mig Circuit race etc
Could even have a "Other Vx Day" and Other car events. 4x4, quad racing, go karting.
Live music events. Create a rally circuit like the place Michelle Mouton own where 2 rally cars race against each other.
The list is endless
Even a hairdressers day for MX5 owners. ;D ;D

It is a hairdressers and a ladies car Skruntie.
I really love the MX-5
But yes,you are correct ,they are mainly driven by hairdressers and women. :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Im sure Elite Pete will be soooooo pleased to read that. ::) ;D ;D
-
if i won the lottery i wouldn't say anything to ann because i would never see a penny
-
MX5's aren't hairdressers or girlie cars just a real laugh to drive, cheap & reliable. (Not all Migs can claim the last two)!!
Anyway when i win the lottery (tonight) i'll buy a modest size barn conversion with galleried landings, en suite bathrooms, proffesional kitchen (oh yes) & loads of land, storage, workshops, in & outdoor pools. etc. No need personally to fly off abroad though i'm sure i'd do some travelling, America/India but no resorts for me.
Saving the best til last i'd have a tarmac oval race circuit built & open my own Banger Racing track like i used to race on @ Angmering W Sx. (Oval race club) to be run as a hobby/income & for OOF days i'd have a few MX5's all caged up & track prepped for you lot to do 8 lap races in & see how much fun they are!!!! :y

Travelling to America is a must. Fill a few containers up with V8 engines and gearboxes and then go hunt doen some muscle cars to buy and send home.
-
I reckon mx5,s are a great lttle car, they just need a dollop of bhp. :y
-
gordon brown would not be alive. a good shot between the eyes would make my day. every penny well spent :y :y
-
I would allocate up to 50% to family and the rest to my projects in Africa. Put money into building project (orphanage) in Ghana in 2006 and it was finished and opened in April this year. Working on a bigger one now in another West African country. I make sure we proivide the bricks and mortar and that the maintenance is ongoing and sustainable.
You just need enough for yourself and your family to be comfortable - I think the excesses achievable with a lottery win are not good for anyone (but it depends on the size of win and the health etc of your family as to what you set aside) but I do understand why we are all conditioned to go for it and sod everyone else.

when i read the topic i assumed it meant "if you won the lottery jackpot"
- not if you had 3 numbers on the lottery
-
If I hit the jackpot .......
I'd go on long-term sick leave, and let the beggers pay me off under the severance scheme. Then I'd donate the pay-off to a good cause!
-
Big win? Lung Transplant, end off :'(

i me a plasterer called arthur on a job once, a few yrs ago. he was about 60 and had one eye. he was the 2nd person in the country to ever win it. he told me it was the worse thing thats ever happened in his life. i very rarely do it myself, dont want the money. i like being poor, i love my friends more than money and i wouldnt want to lose them all for the sake of a few quid.

you not selling the hairdresser car am you
-
Assuming it was a milion or two..
It'd be a huge worskhop with a nice house attached but wouldn't give up work - probably go contract or just arrange to work half the time.
Need something to keep me occupied when cars drive me up the wall every now and then! Added to that - can't live off the interest at the moment...
Big holiday session as wifey likes sunnier parts of the world - and she'd get a shopping spree at Tiffany.
Would also treat my folks to the best holiday of their lives..
