Title: Still having broadband problems....
Post by: stuart30 on 23 February 2009, 20:56:04
After moving into the current property my sky broadband has been running slow...some days 300 ish kbps.

Had BT open reach out and they checked out exchange and gave the line the thumbs up....spoke too sky broadband several times and after alot of phone calls and complaining they have agreed the speed is unbelievably slow.

Night before last the Tier 2 tech support finally agreed too up the speed there end (thanks who ever it was mentioning it here)...so we have the lightning fast speed of 1 meg now (massive improvement).

Question is Sky have agreed that due too the crappy speeds were getting they will allow us too end the contract penalty free.

Im left wondering if i did leave and go with another supplier say o2 whats the chances of getting a decent speed (line tests suggest 6/6.5 meg) or would we still get just the 1 meg were now currently receiving.

Any thoughts or advice welcome. :y

Probably not if you chose O2 (provided they have it in your area) as O2 use their own equipment in the exchange.
