;D ;D
Many years ago when I first started working for Comet we used to write out a receipts rather than the tills printing like they do now. I had a phone call from one of our drivers saying he was on this new housing estate in Wales but couldn't find this house with the welsh name of Plotios, turns out he shoud have been looking for Plot 105, we extracted the urine for weeks after that ::)

Every year we get a large wagon from the continent (usually belgium) turn up at the back gates of our Norwich store. The look on their faces when you explain to them and show them on the map that they actually need our depot at Northwich and have therefore at least 4-5 more hours driving to do is priceless! ;D

Numbers on Polish Driving License (believe it’s the same with all EU DL) are the same as on UK . 1. Surname, 2. Forename, 3. Date of Birth, 4. Issue Date, 5. DL no etc.
Funny enough this is old DL with "Permiss de Conduine" on it (French). New ones only have "Prawo Jazdy".
All they had to do is read no 1, 2 and 5 and fine the guy.

Maybe it would be an idea if all european driving licences were designed to a standard format.
Wait a minute. ;D ;D ;D

They are (read my explanation above). Fields with the same numbers means the same in every country.
BTW. After reading this news, i think it should says "Ireland's worse policeman" as they cant read properly.

Told this to one of our contractor wagon drivers who didnt quite believe me, then thought about it a bit and started to laugh. Apparantly a hauliage company near him had taken on 6 polish drivers and thered been some big mix up over wages etc as they had them all down as having the same name....reckon that Mr Prawo Jazdy's working over here now too. At least it isnt just the Irish ;D ;D
