Title: Thats it, I'm off...
Post by: hotel21 on 23 January 2007, 22:01:59
.... on my Holidays.

After much discussion, we finally agreed we are off to the South of France with the car at the summer, all things being equal, with only the question of tent or gite (sp) in debate now.

Been comparing ferry prices from home to the continent.

Rosyth to Zeebrugge was circa £800 including meals, whilst Hull to Zeebrugge was £520 inclusive.  Have to add another £100 or so for fuel costs for return run to Hull, but still almost £200 cheaper overall.

Anyone got any recommendations for places to visit/stop/explore on the way to Marseille?

Often go with 'French Life'/'Camping Life' and get a mobile home there (tent may be too hot), usually a gang of us go.  We get ferry from Dover/Calais, normally free with the package...

Done the central part or coast - Aigues Mortes, the area near Spain, and the Cote d'Azur...
