Title: We paid for the Beijing Olympics
Post by: Martin_1962 on 12 March 2009, 11:23:49
£38,000,000,000 was given to the Chinese in aid last year.

Looks like we paid for their space programme too

China has

£2,000,000,000,000 in foreign exchange

They are richer than us and we give them aid >:(

Looks like they corrected the page said £38 thousand million or US billion.

Sorry but to me billion is still 000,000,000,000 not 000,000,000

Indeed Martin, couldn't agree more! :y :y

The trouble is the financial markets and the language they use is all about the mighty dollar, although there are many clouds on the horizon to threaten that "empire"!   ::) ::) ::):( :

Doesnt that ammount of zero's equate to a Trillion and Billion respectively

Depends if you're using the 'American' system or the old 'British' system...
