Title: GM Factory in Luton

Had a good job today,demo on a floor scrubber in Vauxhall's.Was hoping to see some decent cars while up there but it's now building the vans.Big place though,must be 30/35 acres.got lost going in and got lost getting back out  :D ;D

No cars made there now.  I believe the airport has earmarked the land when the place closes...

There's an awful lot of work being done all round the site and a new by-pass being built.

Yeah, the old road from the M1 spur up to airport was awful.  They have been doing those works for friggin ages though...

My office is based in one of the buildings just at the top of that by-pass, they are making a direct link/dual carrigeway into Luton Airport from the M1.  Sadly the industrial area that used to be the Vauxhall Luton site is now in decline and all that work is aimed at by-passing it totally and relieving the traffic jams that congest the area.

If you get a sale out of them make sure it's cash in advance lol  :y

 ;D it's actually a contractor who does the repairing of vehicles as needed
