Post by: going crazy on 17 March 2009, 14:28:48
Hiya,

Any one aware of any insurance discounts for members of this site and the conditions before someone can claim a discount?

Thanks

Never mind. I love this forum & don't mind the lack of discount.

If you are an old git like me, it may be worth knowing that I've just renewed my Omega 2.5 with SAGA (brace myself for the jokes) and its the cheapest I've ever been quoted, £215. They were also the cheapest for my house.

i tried SAGA [Senile And Getting Ancient  ;)] as im now 50 but didnt seem that cheap, after alot of phone calls from confused etc [yup they plague you with calls] ive now got a good deal, fully comp with full recovery service, n/claims protected & a host of other goodies for £185, this is based on 3000 miles limit [when they ask for mileage reading add a couple ;)], when i get the quote through the post i`ll tell you who its with as ive spoken to so many i cant remember who it was :D :D [must be an age thing ;D]

what youve got to remember crazy is that when they ask what sort of quotes youve had from others be sure to invent a cheaper one, but dont tell them who from, i do it every year & save plenty, remember its a buyers market out there so they will bend over backwards for your business :y

Well, I am 32 and a new driver. Paying 700 for a first year + break down. Hopefully, it will come down next year.

I think mine is on 3000, not used as a daily driver, usually,  so enough for us :y

there's also a company called 50plus for those of us more senior owners who are cheaper than SAGA if you pay in one lump
