Title: More work done....
Post by: tunnie on 28 January 2007, 16:21:52
Worked on the Senator again today, fixed the central locking. Took all the door cards off, used WD40 on all the moving bits, then used some motorbike chain grease (thanks TheBoy  :y)

Locks and unlocks now no problems, also replacement headunit in.

It looks a bit chavvy, but it was cheap and does the job £70. Reads MP3 CD's and has an Aux input on the front, so we can plug iPods / PDA's and Laptops in.

Some piccys from the days fun:

The Senator looks real nice, very well kept inside, and the metal bits on the door frame look sound with no corrosion...  :y

No he wasn't, he did not look to impressed at it.

But tbh it does the job, we need an Aux input the old tape input would have been pants. It was cheap and does the job.

I much prefer the alpine one in mine, but that was over twice the cost.

Passenger heated seats seams to have started working, mine is dead though. Not bothered to investigate that as in the summer i doubt i will need it

I may need a favour myself next weekend in replacing the springs on the Senator, just e-mailed a eBay advert for a V6 being broken in West Drayton which is just around the corner from me at uni  :)

Nothing wrong with Sony HU's. Got one in my Omega and its the mutts nuts - sounds superb and plays MP3. :y
