Title: i cried like a baby last night
Post by: Bacon Butty Man on 22 March 2009, 11:14:55
watched Marley & Me on ahem! dvd........
good film til the end when the dog inevatably got old and sick, when the main charcter took said dog (Marley) to the vet it brought memories of my dog taz and when i had to take him, i loved that dog and this film was just like watching a home movie of taking taz to the vets for the last time a couple of years ago,

so heres a warning, if you have lost a much loved dog in the last 100 years or so, then watch this film at your peril, it had me crying in my seat, thank god i never went to the cinema to watch it. :'( :'( :'( :'(
good funny sad endearing sad. wont be watching it again

Thanks for the heads up -- won't be watching that film then !!!!!  My old dog was put to sleep over a decade ago now, and the memory still upsets me !!! Up to then I had dogs almost all of my life, but after that vowed never to get another .... being the silly, soft b*gg*r that I am, I get too attached !

Anyway ... a film that had me going recently was 7 Pounds ... but I tear up at anything these days .... must be me 'ormones !!!!!!

Ah you big softies!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

But, no very seriously I know what you both mean!  My dog Suzzie was put down whilst I was away from her 48 years ago and I still frequently cry over that.  That dog and I, a sensitive child, was just so close and a friend indeed :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Still miss you Suzzie :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

`Completely understand Lizzie; dog`s innately understand true devotion.....once our hearts are lost to a dog things can never be the same without them.

This is the very reason I did not want to get a dog, let alone a cat, yes we have both ::) ::) ::) the cat has cost a fortune at the vets, did not insure him as expected just to get him put down :-[ dog is insured but everything seems to be under the insurance kick in ::) :'(
One day they are going to pop their clogs, daughter and youngest step son are going to take it hard
