i think it was WWF, they have been advertising it all over the net. i didn't bother. global warming a load of crap in my opinion, its just the earth doing what it wants not so long ago there were suggestions that a new ice age could be on the way. the earth has always changed over hundreds of years
-
I cant actually see what all the fuss is about. Apparently, sea levels will rise by about 3 metres, putting a lot of coastal areas underwater and diplacing/killing millions of people.
1) The world is over populated and could do with losing a couple of billion.
2) It wont be us.

Wasn't Antartica a lovely green pasture land at one time, and didn't ice create lots of the valleys we take for granted. Surely climate change is out of our control whatever we do. We were also told to plant flowers in our gardens that were suitable for long periods of drought they would have been washed away last year, So I don't believe any of the scarer mongering tactics the governments are using to tax us with. >:(

This is true ---- we should be spending our efforts at finding ways to live with climate change, not halt it -- it's man interfering with the natural order of things again >:(
I am all for energy saving and more efficient heating etc., but purely from the standpoint that if I use less, I pay for less.
I also wholeheartedly agree that we should respect our environment more --- gain from the standpoint of making it a better, cleaner, place to live in.
If it is going to get hotter in places and colder in others, then we have to live with it and make the best of it!

quote:
The Amazon basin spans South America and contains 40 percent of the world's remaining tropical forest. But every year more and more is being cut down - last year about twenty-five-and-a-half-thousand square kilometres of forest were felled. This year, it seems, even more is going up in flames.
they dont seem to be stopping this though do they, good earner is it
