Anyone cone across this (and got rid of it), I’m getting really bored with it now, do a search on Google then click on one of the results then find you redirected to some other Site!!.
Tried all the usual, McAfee, AVG, Spybot, Malwarebytes etc, but cant seem to lose it. >:(
Don’t think I’ve been anywhere dodgy lately, but spent a lot of time on Google Streets last week? :-/
Any ideas.

i've had that it seams to rate the security risk of all the results

Yes, I discovered this redirect bug on a friend`s PC; I had to scan with Spybot S & D and Ad-Aware with the PC in 'Safe-Mode' to get rid of it......blinking nuisance!
I think I.E seems more prone to it than Firefox. :-/

Actually, thats a good point will try that. Next step for me was to slowly restore bit by bit after each scan, but will try that first. :y

I had it on works PC a few months ago. Thought I'd got rid of it a few times, only for it to crop back up a week or so later. Rebuild was only option in end...

Yea I know what saying, rebuild is the last resort in my book (on my own stuff anyway).
I've had something similar like this a few years back, kept coming back, got rid of in the end by kept doing a day by day restore in Safe Mode, took rather ages to sort it. Probably would have been easier to do a Wipe Clean.

Ok here's the fix, nasty one this one, redirects your your anti spy, adware, virus to another IP download site so you get your update (very slowly, 15 kps download) but without the fix.
Part of the old go.google.com (march 2009) virus but more complicated. This has had me going for over a week now.
Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices.
Scroll down to “Non-plug and Play Drivers” and click the plus icon to open those drivers.
Then search for “TDSSserv.sys”
Right click on it, and select “Disable”
Note: If you select Uninstall, it will install itself again when you reboot the system, so DON’T select Uninstall.
Restart your pc in safe mode with Network support.
(In simple terms, TDSSserv.sys is a service/server redirecting all software updates to 127.0.0.1 (your own computer) so they won’t update.)
Now update your Antispy software. (my old fravorit Malwarebytes works), http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
Now download and/or update, reboot in safe mode simple (without Networking) and the run the exe Malwarebytes (full scan).
After its finished, reboot, Jobe Done.
:y
Update do not download the google or Yahoo search fix called: Parrtollogic Anti Virus, just makes it worse!

That`s a very useful post Zirk; that fix is going straight onto my 'recovery and emergeny' USB stick for future reference.....thankyou. :y
