My old Vectra, which ive sold to my mate has just gone in for its MOT.
Its failed on 'Centre Rear brake pipe excessively corroded (3.6.B.2c)'
Thats all it failed on, but it doesn't say which side :-/ Does this mean both sides need replacing? or do I just assume its the one which looks the worst? :o
I thought they should put which side of the car it is, eg 'N/S Rear brake pipe excessively corroded (3.6.B.2c)' etc? :-?

Lol, moving to general chat (its a Vectra sorry)
But, there is a brake pipe that runs across the rear from drivers side to passenger side (the pipes go down the drivers side of the car) and is likely to be obvious
-
if its an older abs setup, it may only have one circuit to the back, thus 1 pipe?

Sorry about it been in the wrong section, My fault, I was rushing the post as my tea was ready! ;D
Any, I'm off round to have a look at the car, and hopefully replace the pipe with a copper one. :y Knowing my luck it will be the longest pipe on the car! >:(
TB, it is an oldish Vectra (1997) but im 80% sure theres 4 brake pipes from the ABS unit? :-/

It might be, some had a join by the drivers rear wheel, some didn't.
You cna always fit a join as that is an acceptable repair method
