I have a 98 MV6 and I love it.

I would say look for one that has had cam belt kit replaced (if not it would be wise to do it straight away - about £125 for the parts from Vx on a trade card) and make sure that the cam cover gaskets are not leaking (pull a plug lead off and see if there is oil in the wells - not a disaster but it will cost you about £70 to do it yourself, more to pay a garage to do it), also has the oil cooler been done (there seems to be a lot of people having oil cooler failure - including me).

I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will be along shortly to add to this! I speak purely from my own experience!  :y

I have an MV6 that I am toying with selling, it has Facelift MV6 Alloys, Sports Leather, Sat Nav, Cruise Control, Rear Blind, Bose Sound. Also has an engine management chip. It is Black has been serviced every 3000 miles, Cambelt done, Oil Cooler, Cam Covers etc etc. Really needs nothing, I am thinking we need an estate the only reason I am thinking of selling my Baby
If your intrested let me know by Pm :y

I have had both a 3.0 auto and a 3.0 manual both where in black, the manual one had a limited slip diff aswell which made it much more fun to drive and suited my driving style better.

Don't let that put you off an auto though as they are still a great car to drive just my preference was the manual all depends on your driving style.

Theres not much better on the road for the price of a mv6 either aslong as you can afford to put the petrol in.
