I bought a cheapie Xtreme pressure washer a year or so ago. One by one the bits have been breaking and now the lance has split.
I googled to try and find spares of which there are none (but apparanetly B & Q have an own brand that fits) - but what amazed me was the number of complaints that people have with the lance splitting or the hose gun splitting and the product is still on the shelves inculding Homebase and Argos.
So VX is not alone in not owning up to problems with their products!!

I paid £20 for a recon karcher unit from a company in Newark off of Ebay
Perfectly good condition and works a bloody treat
Why waste money fixing stuff

I understand your point but I do not like to just throw things away without a fight!!
We throw too much stuff onto the scrap heap but yes - you are right - replacement is the most sensible option if not the most sustainable.

We had a problem with the gun and hose on our karcher pressure washer a few years back that was just out of warranty by 2 years ;D i got hold of the head office number and was directed to the spares dept so i asked for new one to be sent out fully expecting to pay for it as i was honest(dumb enuff) to tell em it was out of warranty....They would not charge me for it or the postage total bargain i reckon plus its still going strong after 8 years....It just shows that somtimes lady luck will smile down on you rather than flick her bogies at ya!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
