As I used to be a big fan of the originals, thought I might be a bit disappointed with the new series, but from bits I have seen so far seems pretty good! ;D

Sorry guys I was very dissapointed. Too serious, no canned laughter (I hate it but this is one program it complemented), props too good, too much mood music, too much CG, I think it has got too far from why I liked it in the first place.
RD used to be rubbish, that was the point of it. Afterall it was more a comedy than serious SCIFI, and they only had a fiver a week to make it. And they knew it! I loved the rubbish props and stupidly bad alien effects, it allowed the comedy to shine through.
I was organising a big screening on my projector setup Sunday night as there are a few fans here, but now I'm glad it didn't work out as the general comments about it are pretty grim. And Dave worked us up about it so much!
A wasted oppurtunity I say!

Never had canned laughter - that was a live audience

I thought it was a bit lacking too, like many programs a huge budget can spoil it. I was lucky enough to meet the cast last year for a mobile product we did for them. really nice guys, even met the female version of holly!

I enjoyed it, it was about the only bit of watchable TV all easter weekend

Probably one of the most briliant comedies ever made :y

I enjoyed them but I felt it was lacking something.
