They obvious have no grip of english if they think a repair is selling a fob

either they are not english or an illiterate chav.
I would go for option 2

I once worked with someone who actually spoke like that. Like a foreign language to me.

If I receive a badly written text I ask them to resend in legible English. What a git I am sometimes  ;)

Makes my blood boil  >:(

What about understanding regional accents, that can be very difficult with some of the stronger 'harsher' accents :)

I used to work, as a Service Engineer and then into Sales, for a National Company who's Head Office was in Wolverhampton, sorry to anyone from Wolv's, but it really used to get to me and Birmingham was even worse. :)

These are just my observations and experience, NOT having ago at anyone at all. :y

I know what you mean about regional accents Vamps  ;)

But he spoke such a pigeon English he was almost impossible to understand. If chav texts could be reproduced vocally, he would be the voice  ::) :o

I don't really understand text talk, rarely use these words even on MSN, and, for the most part, I expect anyone I am talking too to use real words or I can't communicate with them. :y

Regional accents and bad spelling are opps all to do with each other. I speak as broad as the next Northerner but never use F instead of TH which seems to be the norm these days. As per my other reply, it p's me off when people use American instead on bl00dy English cos they don't know or can't be arsed. No when they meant know, or there which is often used instead of they're or their etc etc etc .......

and breathe.

I tried a similar response and failed. I hate the Teesside accent, live in Durham, not too bad accent wise, but born a Geordie :y

Try this one, an American lady told me this many year ago;

Miss on you pista, you arn't so mucking fuch, you and your whole fan damily can go buck a fuffalow. :y

I know our are from Wolves, but can you see the true message :y

Agreed, and I've no gripe if you're from the USA & use American terms/spellings, but we get a lot of tires/color etc from this of the Pond. America & Britain divided by a common language  ;)
