I can totally understand people who resent Tesco being so successful, but at the end of the day they are selling stuff that most of us want/need to buy and at a good price.

And dont forget they are employing thousands of extra staff every year to handle their increasing sales.

When did tesco last make anyone redundant............???

 :)

That's true, but their customer service is extremely poor, unhelpful, and at times very dictatorial with an air about them that they will get your custom anyway and you will do as you are told!! >:( >:( >:(

After 38 years in the retail trade I see the arrogance that no retailer can afford to have with their customers, and which Marks & Spencers displayed in the 1990's, before they caught flue!! ::) ::) ::)

Looks like tesco are looking after their customers though if they are getting year on year sales increases.......there is bad customer service in any company but I have personally always been impressed by Tesco

We use tesco or asda depending on our mood

And no i dont work for either of them !!!!

Well in short.  If there are any complaints about the peofit they make then dont shop there.

I agree with Lizzie, and after seeing part of a program about them on TV last year about the way they bully to gain land I thought they were disgracefull.

I just stopped shopping with them for various reasons and certainly dont line thier pockets anymore.

But in my world I do so wish Morrisons delivered.

But are they really? :-?

The like for like, year on year, sales for Tesco are just 3% up.  Asda and Morrison's are 7% up, with Sainsbury's producing a similar performance.

The Tesco sales growth was the lowest for 15 years ::) ::)

I believe that tells a story. ;)

That was one of the other reasons.

I am quite fortunate where I live.

Petrol/Tesco opposite a mini Sainsburys.  Morrisons up the road, Asda down the road.  2 Co-ops in the viallage, Lidl. Aldi Farm Foods, Iceland and a Jack Fulltons in town.

Meadowhell just down the road.

I do not think you will be disappointed with their generally excellent service, really fresh fruit & veg (that last far longer in the fridge than Tesco's produce) and quality leading brands, with variety, along with their great value 'basic' range.  Oh yes, and Necter points that give you good cash values off of your total shopping bill! :D :D :D :D :D :D

End of Sainsbury's advert! ;) ;)   Well I have been a customer from 1958 when my mum always took me to the lovely original Sainsbury's store in Tunbridge Wells!! 8-) 8-) 8-)
