All I will achieve this weekend is stripping and cleaning...
-
Could really do with knowing what size and length the manifold studs are - seems daft to refit old ones having gone to this length...
-
James - I have seen several threads on here form you, and all I can say is that you are a glutton for punishment!
I admire the way you work (doing things properly) and really throw yourself in the thick of it - good luck at the weekend! :y
PS - Sounds like a good deal on the parts.
-
Though ya meant fruit and veg and meat and dairy..... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well I want to spend this summer enjoying myself, going places, and not having to worry about car reliability.... so may as well go to town on it in one hit, while I'm throwing the 3.0 cams in there :D
-
Oh, I've also bought a halfrauds 150 peice socket/tool set - on offer at £97 :y
-
Reasonable?
If you're going to keep this one long enough to get your money's worth! ;)
Oh, and you forgot the LPG kit. ::)

Kev,
If I can flog that heap of french sh.. beautiful Peugeot for enough to cover the cost of one - I will definately go for LPG :y
-
reasonable if you keep it for more than 10 minutes! ;) ;D

How about 3.0 inlet divider and matching heads to the divider - this is my job next weekend.
I will have a 3.0 cammed 2.6 by June

Is it worth me getting the divider and matching the heads - if I still have the exhaust manifold restrictions?
-
I'm also a tad concerned about beefing it up, in case it rips the AR25 apart ::) ;D

Might as well, while you're at it. Might be worth looking into 2.6 / 3.2 exhaust manifolds and whether they'd fit easily too.
Looks like LPG took a tax hike in the budget ( 3p a kg from September) so might be worth seeing what happens to prices. :(

As far as I know I'd have to modify my downpipes to fit... :-/

MDTM reckons a tuned smaller V6 will not damage the box.
The porting will add about 3 to 5 bhp we reckon. looks like about 1 to 2mm all round to be grinded out.
Mark what is the best bit for aluminium - last one I did was cast iron
-
that's my next question - what tools to port them :D
-
I am going to use a B&D Wizard but not sure which bit, got loads of cylindrical sanding bits but only one milling bit.

You're only just up the road - can get together for a day if you fancy messing with some heads... :y

Good idea - I have one apart so far, just need to work out what to grind with
