Title: Seat Ibiza cambelt 1.4 8v

Well the astra has gone PAS pump & rear brakepipes so failed mot have replaced SWMBO's car with a 98 Seat Ibiza 1.4 its similar to the vw polo but has different rear suspension :(

anyone changed a cambelt on a VAG 1.4 8V engine? i trust it to be very simple SOHC :D but just wondered if ill face any nasties when i do it this w.e

btw anyone know what the dash message IN o2 means?  it appears when i first start it then dissappears 10 secs later

Dash message is telling you it's due Inspection 2 :y :y

As for the belt... IIRCC the only fiddly thing is getting the tensioner right :y :y :y

inspection 2 i assume thats a big service then? its gonna be serviced this weekend gotta change the sump gasket traced the oil leak to it seems nice and simple though

the tensioner does it need a special tool or is it good old nuts & bolts?
