Hi all , just looking around for the annual insurance quote ::). I have been with the Co-op for 6 years, can't remeber who I was with before that , 44 years old , 67% NCD protected , 2.5 1998, paid £345 last year. Just wondered what others were paying. I know you get what you pay for , but as I only do around 4 k a year , I wondered if it was worth using someone new.
Thanks

Suggest you give a lady called Bev a call on 0161 834 1884. She works for a Brokers I have used for about 12 years.
By changing insurance company she has just been able to reduce my annual payment by about £120 per year and with a lower excess.
I pay about the same as you but for a slightly higher spec car for both business and personal use (personal only would be even lower), for my wife to be an additional driver and the total amount also included home and away breakdown cover as well.
Mention my name to her - Gareth Lewis - an tell her I recommended you.
Regards
Gareth

I have always found Direct Line to be good, saved £180 this year on my new quote, they reckon on line quotes are cheaper...never understood that?

That sounds expensive, try one of the insurance comparison sites just to give you an idea of what is available. I used to stick with the same company for years, but they were taking the mick in the end,it's easy enough to swap insurers these days.

Shop around mate - the broker I'd been with for some years tried to sting me for a similar figure to yours. Effing charlatan ..... !
Did some shopping around myself, including on-line, and a local broker met my best quote for £267. Similar details as yourselves, I reckon they're in a cartel - in other words, if someone's dull enough to pay it, they'll charge it!
Good luck mate!

Maybe so, but I've yet to hear of an insurance company that willingly pays out on a claim!

No matter what insurance company you are with they will always throw spanners in the works when paying out claims, i was just answering a question that was asked and gave my expierience

If you're going to swiftcover.com go through cashbackkings... £28 for taking out a policy :y :y :y
I've done 2 as the wife's insurance was due a month after mine :y :y :y

Swift cover has always come out cheapest on any comparison site I've been on recently.
Just got a 1990 Astra insured cost £216 Post Office ins.
My Omega cost £216 last year full protected NCD with LV Frizzell
I got £50 cashback though from PO ins, it was so high as it's a second car and I had no claims discount for it.
Shall try a multicar policy this year for both.

If that's the case it's getting cheaper because you're getting older :P :P :P

But it must stop somewhere, My Dad's insurance on the Motorhome came down when he added me on to it ::) ::) ::)

:o :o :o Someone has seen you coming. Business is usually free or just a couple of quid, and that includes regular carrying of passengers, colleagues and clients, and I work for a similar employer as you. ::)
