first one since I've owned my mig. Given the amount of work I've done on it, the only things I can see that it's likely to fail on are:
Handbrake adjustment (even with the heatshields off, I couldn't get a socket onto the nut - damn propshaft kept getting in the way)
Exhaust back box (rotted, but I still haven't got my replacement from Eternal yet!)
fingers crossed I get an advisory on the exhaust - failing that it'll have to sit in the MOT place until I get the damn thing and let them change it over.
Wish me luck! :-/ :-/

did you take a note of mileage when dropped off?
Who knows, they might have taken it for a test drive and enjoyed it too much ::)

NOW you're worrying me! good point though - i took my expensive sunglasses and my newly purchased CDs out of the car before I dropped it off. Mind you, I left my halfrauds toolkit in the boot - little chance on them nicking that!

i thought more of speed cameras ;) was only joking anyway!
You never know what people are like though,
that`s why i tend to do MoT&cuppa deal ;)
Go at agreed time to keep an eye on my miggy and wait for the test 8-)

Did your solenoids work fine this morn? Maybe they`re still playing with the remote ;D

WOOHOO! Passed! another year of worry free running!
An advisory on the back box, but I expected that.
I am now a happy bunny. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Great! ;)
And we were coming up with reason for delay... :-[

Congrats :y

Splendid :y
A stubby spanner/ratchet spanner or deep socket (13mm I think) would be best on the handbrake adjuster- normal socket isn't deep enough in my experience.

Handbrake adjustment. That adjustment above prop shaft. Fiddly, yep but do-able with patience and sixth turn each time. by the way, where did you take it.
Mine passed last week hi-point, pin green

I should really have spent more time trying to do the adjustment on the handbrake, but I lost patience after 15 mins of trying to get a deep 13mm socket on the nut. Perhaps I need more patience, but then.... they didn't even give me an advisory on it despite that fact that it doesn't hold the car stationary! (perhaps the fact that I have an autobox meant it was ignored?)
I took mine to Kipling Motors in Hemel - very friendly and helpful - decided to give me an advisory on the exhaust even when it should really have failed. They are right next door to my work so dead handy. I'd recommend them - only £38 too.
