Title: keeping DNA (Not Scotland)

Apparently if you were innocent of a minor offence they'll destroy your DNA after 6 years. However if you were innocent of a major offence they'll keep it for 12 years.  :-?  :-?  :-?  :-?
Some people must be more innocent than others!  :-?  :-?  :-?  :-?

One thing about the DNA database, putting everyone on there will make it difficult to find a person, the search is basically a checksum and with just criminals there is a good chance of a positive match, with everyone, you will have lots of matches mainly people who are innocent, but they will still be suspects - just because their DNA generates the same checksum.

The fewer entries the better the match
