I've just got a quote of £300 all-in for a set of 225-55 R16 Kumho tyres.
Are these reasonable tyres? They're certainly within my budget!

what tyre model?

I had KU31's and found them pretty good.

I fitted a set of Khumo Ecsta SPT's on mine ( 235/45/17 ) and I find them very good . Good wet grip and low road noise and are wearing well.
Got them here .

Worth giving Micheldever Tyres (or Bracknell Tyres) a call as a price check - they are the benchmark around here, although I know a bit of a trek for you.

You forgot Headley tyres on the A339 between Basingrad & Newbury!

Thanks, guys, but there is a big problem with tyres. You may be able to get them cheap on the net, but then it can cost you up to further £20 each getting them fitted (fitting+disposal+alloy wheel surcharge, etc.). Also, as you point out, when a cheaper tyre centre is miles away, you have to factor in the cost of getting there and back. I reckon £300 all-in is pretty good for a local place (from Hendon Tyres). But, again, thanks for your suggestions. :y :y

some, such as etyres, black circles, mytyres etc all either come to you, or do it using local fitters...
