Have a look at the pic of a mod I have done to my elite estate.

This had the usual rust around the rear wiper, but after I de-rusted and treated the area, instead of repainting (which would have been a right pain) i have crafted a plastic strip to disguise the affected area.
This strip was made from a spare plastic cover from an omega 'b'post.
i dont know what type of plastic this is but it is the same stuff as the glossy plastic thing that surrounds the wiper spindle. it is very easy to cut and shape, and the cut edges can be sanded and polished with t cut to a mirror finish. I stuck mine on with a black polyurethane adhesive but black silicone would do just as well.
Even though i say so myself, it really does look factory fitted :y
