Morris Ital 1.7 HL Estate in Denim Blue metallic. 8-)
Just like this one :
Plenty of room in the back with the seats folded down but insufficient non-existent street cred meant that I was destined never to utilise it in the Entwood sense. :'(

Why is this the only country that you can't have a v8 first :'( :'(

Y reg Cavalier 1600 GL.
I really loved that car, and being young and stupid, killed it.

Oh how can you say that, mine got fitted with a 1600 x flow engine and gearbox and with the best double wishbone front suspension that was about it would out corner anything similar at the time. Sooo much better than these god awful macpherson struts.

Mine was a green 1976 Vauxhall Chevette, or Shove it as we used to call it. It had a huge Brown roll back sunroof which came in handy for climbing through when I accidentaly locked my Baby daughter in there :D I loved it but it just rusted to death in the end :'(
-
1300cc Mk1 Escort Van (white of course).
The reason I bought was in the back of it was a 1650 pre cross flow stage2 Engine, 2000E 3 rail box with mexico bell housing, 3.1 Capri Diff and a box of quad Weber DCOE40 side drafts.
The owner run out of money, so I pretty much stole it off him.
2 months latter the stuff in the back was in the front and underneath, loads and loads of fun :)
-

Mine was also a mk3 ford cortina gxl, 1600, 1973 vintage white with wolfrace 4 spoke alloys. I loved that car so much till some tw#t in a marina stoved in the rear panal and bent the rear panal so much that the rear doors popped open and would not shut. :(

Sunbeam Talbot 90. The brakes had packed up on it and I bought it for "scrap" as an early teenager. Drove it around off road for a while before getting rid of it. It isn't one of the 17 that still survive!!

Mine was an old bmw 3 series 316 84-91, old and really crapy car. It more stood broken than really went on the road ;D but actually fun to drive and easy to repair
-
My most favourite car was second generation Delta which was my third car! Never had a single problem with that car, and boy it was luxurious in that time. Also really was good on the road like nothing I've ever driven before or since (and drove a lot of them in rent a car firm as student)
-
owned and learnt to drive in a Mk 5 cortina, then passed my test in a tiny metro. Slight size diffence :) made doing the 3 point turn a piece of cake ;D ;D
-
My wife to be had a MkII Cortina and back then it was very unusual to get a girlfriend with her own car!
She taught me to drive and I bought a Triumph Vitesse 2000, just like a previous poster.
In those days insurance companys didn't care if you were a mad-for-speed teenager! I was driving a Rover P6 3500 when I was 21.
-
mini metro city 1.0l :-[ ;D
-
My first car was a J reg Hillman Avenger 1200cc which I bought in 1977 for £60. It lasted 3 years and then I bought another Avenger (1500 GLS) and then another one. Eventually I moved on to Omega's..and then another one, and then another one, and then another one, and then another one, and then another one.... Is there a pattern emerging here? :-[

My first car was a 1969 Ford Cortina Mk2 Deluxe - with only 90% of the chassis! Bought for 200 quid .... IIRC.
Some welding and TLC; and I got nearly 2 years out of it. Passed it on to my then welder neighbour, who ran it for a few more years!
"Old Fords never die" - remember that stick-on sunvisor slogan of old?
