Title: Some folk like to try
Post by: waspy on 25 May 2009, 20:42:18
I won some tools for work from a seller on ebay yesterday & this morning, so i e-mailed them & asked for a combined price for postage. So they've added the two original prices together. Er no it doesn't work like that, i've e-mailed them back & asked for a revised amount again. I don't mind paying the extra that sometimes are incurred, but this is the principle.
Cheeky buggers ;D ;D

Depends - they may be a middle man who ships directly from the original supplier...

In this case i should have been made aware, so i'm not feeling skanked. Communication is a wonderful thing, just that some choose not to.

Presumably they didn't say there would be discount if you did buy multiple items - or ebay's system would have applied it?

Did the seller say that he discounted multi purchases though, some do, some don't and some will not let you collect...... :)

I felt a bit miffed in a similar position. I bid on & won 2 fog lights, p&p for each was advertised £5 each, so when I asked if there was a discount as I bought 2 I was told no. :( When they both arrived togther total p&p was £5.50  >:(
I still left positive feed back but just said as much in my comment.  :y

I always give a discount to multi buyers, but I play by the 'spirit' of ebay...........  :y

A fair enough comment Pete. :y  A lot of sellers pull this stroke to collect as much as they can and it's not always easy to catch it beforehand.  I suppose we all live and learn :y
