I once asked for software prices from some american company and ever since have been receiving have a fair amount of spam, including the occasional dodgy one. However I recently received a disgusting one.
is there anything that can be done about this ?. Is there a place to report these S**ts, and get them put off ?.

Use a decent mail client that is capable of filtering, and be careful of who you give your main e-mail addy to.

I never took it to heart one way or the other, but there are more than a few here who would believe it to be the answer.

seriously they use a script to send automatic mails.. >:(

seriously they use a script to send automatic mails.. >:(
Yeh I know cem - that line originated back in the times of faxes - I sent that very message by fax to a business acquaintance that wouldn't take no for an answer!!! Stopped him bothering us ;D ;D ;D ;)

This subject is so disturbing that even government ministers take those kind of mails :-/
There are various ways to prevent them but problem is if we filter them some necessary mails including some keywords are also blocked >:( >:(

At work I deal with Corbin seats in the U.S and the cr*p that follows an e-mail to them is un-believable. Nothing malicious, just loads of special offer at places like Wall-Mart etc. in California

yes, I think it is against several laws in various countries to send spam, but I haven't heard of many cases actually being prosecuted, never mind sucessfully.
