Title: Recession, what recession

I thought there was supposed to be a recession on, well just try an find a reliable carpenter in the Southampton or south Hampshire area. It is impossible.

A very close friend of mine is from China, a very nice person who I get on extremly well with. He does have a small amount of trouble with the language but I am well used to it. An d he asked me to help him find a carpenter for some work in his house, well what a joke, you ring people up and they just say "no mate no interested" the one person who arranged to look at the job nver turned up waisting my time.

I could understand if we where asking for an impossible job, but it is only lay a timber floor and alter the internal doors.

So please don't tell me there is a recession on.  >:(

Give Richie a shout, don't know how busy he is at the moment, seems to spend most of his time playing Golf, or with inflatable sheep.... :D :D :D

Proper carpenters have always been in high demand it appears and they seem to think they can do and charge what they wish.

Theres your problem.....now if you wnated a shite carpenter they would be queing at your door with thier tubes of no more hope nails!
