Title: Irritating computer problem

My laptop is driving me mad today.
I have just uninstalled ESET business security.

Now I cannot see any web sites, fetch email, nor can I ping.
It has however downloaded the IE 8 update so it has an internet connection.
It also refuses to see the controls of my wireless router. >:(
I have flushed the DNS. Renewed the IP.

Can anybody help, any ideas please  :y :y

there are some free registry repairing softwares..

if those wont help a fresh install seems the way to go :-/

try tune up utilities 2009 its free for 30 days and should help sort out reg problems :y

Yes, I have reg cleaned it and scanned it.

Also system restored it. No Joy  :( :(

even tho he's from the wrong side of the pennines i have to agree with him. hit it then hit it again.

We are back up on the old t'internet.

Just got to get the thing to see the network so I can access the accounts  :y :y
