Title: song help needed pls

Heard a new cover of the Martha and the muffins song echo beach on radio 2 last week , a couple of times but missed the artists name , lady singer , I really liked it , anyone shed any light on this pls . :y

Thanks for the input thus far but the one I am after is a remix , backing track is echo beach but the wwords are comletely differnec , bit rappish ?

Quite a few covers have been made, Toyah Wilcox & Gabriella Cilmi are 2 names that spring to mind.

If is was less than a week ago and you can remember what time, go onto the radio 2 website and listen again.  Hopefully they will tell you who it is.

You find the particular clip on Youtube, or another of those sites, copy the http// address, then paste it between the "media" references that you will find when using the "reply" box, top line of 'buttons' below title line, the one that shows a musical symbol and a piece of film. ;) ;) ;)

Wow! I remember the original playing on the jukebox while playing pinball in the viking coffee bar Anne St. Worthing in1979 when i was 16!!!...& had my Yamaha Fizzie...Pre belly days, a HUGE plate of chips & a coffee was 30p!!!!!! ::)

Thanks for all the replies guys and girls , but no luck yet , I already did the bbc3 replay list and couldnt find it , the background music is exactly the same just a light "rap" by a lady over it , first line I think is :

" carzy ltlle rich girl ......."

so anyone else heard it , If I had been at home I would have hit the button on my DAB radio which would have told me the singer/ group , but sadly I was in my van  :(

hate it when so called artists just change the beat slightly or a few words of a classic tune,so now if i hear a rip off on my radio i switch over!  >:(
