Can either of these feature be added / accessed to make it easier to get the latest updates & posts?

Howdoo Dave.  Not really sure what you are after, as I can see which thread has new posts when either I first join the forum or when I return back from a read page.  I click on the blue 'new' sign to the left of the header listing and it starts me in the thread at the next new post?

Sorry if I am missing your point, but thats how I read what you are asking....

Nah, not really what I'm asking. More of a 'put all the new posts in chronological order since the last timr I looked at them'. Saves having to delve into every topic that's flagged as containing 'something' new.

I use several forums that list last 24hrs / since last visit - in much he same way that THIS forum has 'view last TEN posts' - just bigger.
