Title: Engine Crane
Post by: cipher on 17 February 2007, 03:36:31
Does anyone have an engine crane that I can borrow for a few days?

Need to take the engine out of my Omega.

Many thanks.

The only person I know who had one was James. I will try to find out more, but he may have hired it.

Hiring one should only be about £25 for a weekend.

Indeed......just stop at the first appropriate layby after passing carlisle and ask " for instruction allowing progression to the secret castle of Lanarkshire that houses engine hoists"

I have one of these, only problem is it's bloody heavy, but you are welcome to borrow it.

It staddles the car nicely, it's stripped down at the moment and needs a couple of helpers to load it up and re-assemble it. Has a 1 ton chain block, chain sling also available.

Transport to and from is your responsibilty  :)

Period of loan Flexible, can be used outside.
