i am GUTTED but needs must andc @50 per week for commutting alone i just couldn't afford to run it, "well why buy it when you knew it was a gas guzzler" is what some may say.... Well cause i did right!!! no seriously i was blinkered as have wanted one of these for a long long time and one was on offer so i took it.

Anyway she has gone now and i have replaced with a project/wip i say this cause it needs some things doing, but is also on the road with tax and test and @ 1.8 will leave some of my wages

I'll second that.

Is it the time of year or something? everyone seems to be getting rid of their Omegas. I say this as I'm at the point of making a decision one way or the other as well.

Mind you the VW will be good. Enjoy it!

thanks guys, if i hadnt missed out on a job in the village i would DEFINATLY have kept her just couldnt justify using £50+ per week  fuel plus insurance servicing etc for commutting.
i will have another one but i can now justify going to work and back, and still play out all the time!!

Im quite lucky really I use the Omega for most journeys but I have the wifes Rover 25 Diesel when I need to make a long journey like the one to North Uist. I clocked up 1258 miles in a week costing £100 in diesel. If i'd have used the Omega it would have cost twice that amount :o

£50 a week on fuel is bad? I'd give my right arm to only spend that ;D

If you see me around Mick, just remember if I flash my lights it means get out of the way, not you're ok to pull out on me in Miss Ellie's golf  ;D

But seriously -  stay in touch - you're my nearest OOF'er round here  :y

Oh one of those other cars littering the roads!

To be honest if I won the lottery I have no idea what car I would buy (apart from the VXR8) nearest would be a 5 series but they are ugly and no better than what I have unless you get a big engined one (M5 or biggest Diesel)

You will when you get your 2.0 converted to lpg  ;)

I do nearly 1k miles a week and it costs me less than £75 for the gas  :y

Around 20 to 25 a week - where are those injectors?

At £50 per week it would take 5 weeks to pay for reconditioned injectors if needed.

that was atleast for commuting, with insurance & play time it mounts up.
And me (the she) had nothing to do with him wanting to get rid of Maggie, it was Micks decision.
Im not the typical wife to complain about cars & internet....... im the opposite??

Some people pile all their stuff on credit cards & "pay later".
We dont do credit cards, they land people in trouble. So we manage on what we have.

I was well pee'd off aswell to read in another post of the comments about the eBay ad.........
...........

But i'd like to thanks those who helped in the time we asked for it  :y
