And if sales drop off halfway through, they'll just stop publishing it. Hundreds of half-finished lancasters turning up at the landfill ;D ;D

Seen the ad aswell over the past week, always wondered how many mags you would have had to buy to get the completed model, jist a wee bit pricey :-X

Oh and just could'nt handle waiting week's and week's to get it finished, just does'nt appeal to me  :y

I've seen vintage wooden gliders that you can jump in and fly for similar money. Might take some work to make it look like a Lancaster, I suppose, if that's important. :-/

I have just subcribed to the lanc bomber model, and to be honest the cost is not a consideration to me it is the making of it that i am interested in. I have got just 15 more issues of the bismarck to get and that was 144 parts at £4.99 plus binders. total=£718.56. Bargain.

If you buy a model from graupner or other firms they are model packs you have to build them from scratch.
That is everything ship, stearing and then you have the fun of painting and placing the stickers and flags.
it takes quite a while to get it so far that you can put it in the water, working.
