Title: Unlucky LFF64
Post by: LFF64 on 07 September 2009, 13:50:17
Blimey  I must be due some god luck soon ,  I tried to phone my insurance yesterday when  I got home but got no answer ,so  I called Autoglas who checked and said they deal with my insurers so we arranged to have the window replaced this morning
Well they have just turned up with the wrong window wrong side and on checking they do not deal with my insurers anyway , so still no window  >:(
I know have to wait for the next lot to phone back and see when they can do the window but  I will be getting the front screen done too as its also damaged its delamenating in the corner and also chipped  :y

You're due some good luck sooner or later, mate. It's going to be fantastic luck when it arrives to make up for all this, I'm sure. :'(

...it beats me how this happens - don't they check beforehand, how do they get themselves out of the house in the morning?

Has professionalism gone to the wall?

Hope you get sorted LF :y :y

I know it does make you wonder he even checked and said they were on the list yesterday and he checked and doudle checked which window it was
I have just spoken to the ones that are approved by my insurers Auto windscreens (never heard of them ) and they now will be doing the work tomorrow afternoon new side and windscreen .
My only concern is the car is not secure at all as it is but they dont seem concerned about this  :-?

He said your insurance does not cover it and went,
or he brought the wrong window glass

Well its a cross between Mark Dtm and Ghost  :D
The side window was the wrong side again  :o The box had the right number on but the window was wrong inside it I was not sure wether to laugh or cry
I thought he was taking the P at first but no wrong one again  >:(
He has made a temp window from a piece of plastic and has used that for tonight it actually looks pretty good to be honest  ;)
He has fitted the new windscreen and appeared to do a good job he used all new plastic bits and seemed to know what he was doing ,
So I now have to wait another day to get the side window done its got to be third time lucky I hope so fingers crossed  :y

The trims fitted on mine was of poor quality and the bloody rubber kept coming off!

Third time lucky with the side window today , they actually managed to bring the correct side  :D
It is not an easy job to do either I dont think  I would want to try it
At least its all back together again now
Pity there are no OOF tax disc holders left they are not easy to get off once they are on  :y
