I'd the log fire blazing all day Sunday when it was wet and miserable outside , lovely . :)
Was at home all day Tuesday doing invoices and put it on again when it was raining hard outside only this time sun came out late afternoon and we nearly melted ....... :(

Weve had the heating on a few times now it is starting to get colder.
Saying that it didnt realy get very warm up here
-
Funny how, when I was replacing the boiler a few years back and it took a little longer than expected (new one commissioned on 12th December IIRC :-[) there were no real complaints until about mid-November. ::)

What is it with women and thermostats. I just can't get through to the wife how they work, she uses it as a manual switch, then wonders why the house gets too warm / too cold.
-
I don't feel cold until the frost starts, sleep all year round with bedroom windows open etc. What many consider a lovely week somewhere hot is a nightmare for me, too humid, no breeze equals stale air. Nowadays folk seem to expect to walk around indoors with the heating full blast in shorts in December.
Guess my thermostat's set to high, from a southerner living up North!!! ::)
-
If you're cold, put on another jumper (that's what my used to say when i wa a kid) ;D
At the moment it's not cold enough for the heating, but i did have a nice log fire burning the other eve when the girlfriend came round ;) :P :-* :-* :-* :-*

We've had it on briefly, also to take the chill off. More for when we were snuggling inside rather than running in and out like normal! It was shorts in the day and jumpers at night yesterday! ::) It was useful to test the system too before a proper cold snap comes in!
Was playing with some new thermostats yesterday, Salus have one design like the ipod with a circular touch pad for adjustments and menu selections. Different but cool! 8-) :y
I was amazed speaking to manufacturers like Honeywell and Horstmann how many programmable thermostats aren't always programmed right, and also how many old mechanical ones are still installed these days :(... one day we'll all have efficient systems. ;D ;D

Not been on in our house yet won't be for a month or 2 yet either :)
