OK, So, What were you doing on your average Friday/Saturday night 10, 15, 20 etc etc years ago, and more importantly, what are you doing tonight????
Im 34. About 10 to 15 years ago I would have been in Watford town centre, doing what I believe is now classed as BINGE DRINKING, probably as part of a bar crawl, trying to pull anything with a pulse (and always failing) then onto a really cr*p nightclub where we would move about on the dance floor thinking we were gods gift to dancing. :y :y followed by a sweaty kebab and a lift home in a scruffy Toyota Carina cab which always had no dashboard lights and a distinct smell of curry. Fantasic. ;D ;D ;D
And tonight!!!!
In Boston, Lincs. Wifes doing a night shift so was up to me to get the babies fed, bathed and in bed. Ran out of dog and cat food so had to go to Asda. Brought myself some chocolate covered peanuts, as a treat :-/, Laughed at the knobs who congregate in their faceless shoeboxes with big wheels and loud stereos, and am now contemplating going up to bed, put a DVD on (thinking Old School, funny with Will Farrell) and dozing off watching that. Fantastic.
Amazing how we change isn't it?????

You old git! ;D
Mind you, I'm 30 at the end of this month :( :'(, I think I'll be eating my words sooner or later. :D
-
15 years ago I would have been slaughtered in some bar!
Tonight, mopping the bloody kitchen floor as the head gaskets for Jimbobs car didn't turn up.
-
10-15 Years ago, working, now working.
Different jobs mind you ;D
-
Nope! That's how it's been for all time mate! ask anyones dad ;D :y

Oh let's think back, on a typical Friday or Saturday our little group would be in one or two of the working mens clubs as the beer was cheaper, and then maybe if we felt like it maybe go into town to one particular nightclub. My choice as I was the one with the car ;D and I did not drink in those days anyway. This would have been between 1980 and 1985.
And this weekend I will be staying in, maybe playing GTA san andreas or call of duty 1-4 or browsing internet. maybe in the evenings having a few beers and a southern comfort and then an early night ::)
I have to say that generally I am happier now then when I was younger, the only bit I don't like so much now is problems are real and not imagined like when I was younger.
Oh yes I am 44

Problem is, I've actually noticed I now dance like my dad. All I need now is the cream Farahs, short sleeve check shirt with pocket (must have a pocket apparently, where else would you keep your pen???) and cream socks with Clarkes open toe'd sandals!!! ;D ;D

I hope being 30 doesn't hit you as hard as it hit me. Im just a normal bloke. Don't agree with any namby pamby cr*p that magazine's spout, but I went to bed on the eve of my 30th feeling fine, and no word of a lie, when I woke up on my 30th I was like a bear with a sore head. I was the most miserable git you have ever seen, and it stayed with me for two weeks. Shut myself away in my flat (wasn't married then) and refused to talk to anyone.
It was so wierd and something that to this day I cannot explain!!!! Either that or im just a big pansy ;D ;D
