i need a web cam, high quality, motion detection and autofocus as basic choice.
Will/may be partially used as a web cam, but will double up as a CCTV type camera, plus will also be required for making short viseos with Camtasia.
This seems to fit the bill http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134757/show_product_reviews but was wondering if there was anything better or more versatile out there.
TIA.

Have though about wireless web cams but discounted them based on the wireless snooper devices.
Remote controll (Tilt/turn) would be an advantage as well, but have never actually seen one.

If you really don't need motion sensor you can use hd camcorders if you have it.
Most of them are compatible for webcaming.
If looking at logitech watch out about the lenses.
Pick one with Carl Zeiss optics

I also recall there was one Canadian company i think which produced PC variants (copy) of I-sight Mac camera, but with higher resolution (3MP) Think the product was I-nine or something like that. The product did look great but I don't have any experience with it

Would prefer it to have motion detection.

Checked the info more thoroughly and that cam you suggested has Carl Zeiss optic so should be very good :y

CCTV idea is only for basic /specific jobs during daylight, wont be on all the time,
