"The prime minister told Manchester radio station Key 103 he did not rate the twins but added that some of the other contestants were "really good".
Mr Brown has declared himself a "fan" of X-Factor."

This is an unfortunate consequence of the celebrity culture that we all live in.
More people will make the effort to vote for some talentless celebrity .......rather than vote for the future of their country......
In 2005...... Tony Blair won his third consecutive general election with just 36%....of the vote...worse still......of all the eligible voters....... only 22%.....voted for TB.......barely 1 in 5.....(even less for the Conservatives) :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/
Many "Old Labour" ...voters....believed Tony Blair to be a Tory......and simply would not vote for him.
Many "Old Labour " voters in poor deprived ares of the country .......may well turn to the BNP at the next election......if they feel that GB and "New Labour".....has nothing to offer them..... :-/ :-/ :-/

At least on the X-factor the top spot is won by voting.
How about adopting that in parliament?

Brown is trying to show himself ......as "a man of the people "........Comes across..... as a little insincere with GB....
Stick to being "the dour presbyterian " Gordon... :y :y

...speaking as a dour Presbyterian Opti, I can assure you that GB is a lightweight.
He is however completely out of his depth as a national leader and it seems that he has taken to listening too closely to his 'advisors' on trying to exhibit an ability that simply doesn't exist.
