It was probably him, bet he lit it and then went down the pub and forgot about it! ;D :y
I am sure hes fine and will pop in soon to confirm

It would appear that he, and more importantly his miggie, are fine.

Good news... I know Costa del Peckham isn't exactly small but you always think of people you know when you see things like this :-? :y
-
The law used to be that certain buildings had to hold a fire certificate issued by the local fire authority.
If they thought you needed one they would turn up and inspect the building. It cost the fire authorities money to employ fire officers though.
The 'Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005' changed the rules so that now you (yes YOU) are responsible for carrying out a fire risk assessment on your building. If you already know something about fire safety you will probably employ an expert to advise you. If you know nothing then the first time you will get asked for your 'fire safety risk assessment' is the day after it burns down.
Is it just my perception or has there been an increase in the number of serious fires resulting in deaths recently?

Looking around various properties it's amazing how many people block up the exits with rubbish that they then discover could have been a life saver.....
-
Having regular inspections by real firemen dressed in the gear used to get the attention of the girls in the office ;D

Reading that report it looks like the fire started on the construction site then spread to adjacent property.
As long as Mike, Family and Miggy are OK .. :y :y :y :y

That was certainly the impression I got from the news this morning... And they had 125 Firefighters on scene very quickly :o :o :o
Well done London Fire Brigade on a rapid response and tough job well done :y :y

I think it may be Mr Dundees job to sort the mess out after the fire service have finished theirs. :-/

Found the so and so that scratched the car in the early hours this morning, had to tie him to a gas canister on the site adjacent to the flats I found him at, then left him there to sweat it out :y...unbeknown to me after I left, his mates turned up to let him go, but one of them lit a cigarette, and he had forgot to let his mates know that during his attempts to get loose he had accidently turned the gas release valve on the canister he was tied to ;D ;D
