Title: What happens when a van with a towbar fitted....
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 06 December 2009, 17:33:12
reverses into you  :(.....yes, it did happen that way round....i didnt go into the back of it.

Split g/b oil cooler
Rad with dent in it..
Split bumber
And various other damage... :(

So my Viano is off the road for approx 3/4 weeks and the garage estimate is between £3-4k  :o

Ive managed to get a Skoda shed for a few days....hopefully another people carrier will be arriving shortly.

Its amazing how much damage these shinbreakers can do even with a relatively slow impact speed  :o

I can track down a witness if needed, as i was POB at the time, and my screen was showing, his phone number had been recorded  :y

Think i will insist on a full g/b test as well..as it had dumped quite a bit of atf on the floor.

Hello TD,Shin breaker is just about the right name for the damm things, when I used to have the old type(greased) I was always getting it on jeans whilst hooking or unhooking the van.Hope you get back on the road quickly.
