Title: TD's Merc
Post by: STMO123 on 23 March 2007, 18:53:49
If all 854 members paid £3.55, we could buy TD's Merc off him to be the forum runaround. We could send it up and down the country with bits for each other. :D

No Estates for me... I keep stuff in the boot (if you followed an old thread about it you'd know what I am talking about). Wife got a Previa and had the window smashed twice - I guess the kids toys and left-over sandwiches look like valuables in the night. No Siree, I got all my stuff tucked safely in the boot away from prying eyes....

... and up to this afternoon the 'stuff' also included a front disk and pads set and two front bearings, all in plain GM brown boxes. Not that I can really see someone running-off with the disks and pad set, but by the time they smashed the window the damage is done... If I remember correctly you've been there yourself and not too long ago...  :(

Incidentally the disks and bearing are now safe and sound in my office waiting for a warmer day to be installed...  :)

Load covers on Estates are no good round these parts...  :(
when they are on the thievs only get more interested... best thing for an estate is to have the boot area empty and in full view. My wife even leaves the glove compartment lid open these days. If you thought Swindon was tough...  >:(
