Title: Blaggage: may the Lord forgive me.
Post by: Debs. on 07 January 2010, 19:02:48
I finally made it out today (nightmare journey; using a 'wrong-wheel-drive' borrowed car) to the Vx dealer, to buy a new radiator top-hose, clips and 5 Ltrs. of 'red' antifreeze.

Ahem! (confession time)...... ::)
I haven`t actually got a T.C card (but have fully intended to get one), but I mentioned to the counter-chap that I 'usually' get stuff on T.C, but in my hurry today, I forgot to bring the card.
Result......
BIG discount blagged: £36. retail......actually paid: £24. :-*

I really-really MUST get a T.C card.  ;)

Respect.   :y :y

Why bother with a TC card if you can deal with a company and get away with it, at least try it next time.  Then admit it's run out.   :y :y :y :y

Banbury?  I'm going there to get trackrod end tomorrow if you want me to pick up.

Had a leaflet through - 5l antifreeze under a tener (ex vat), 20l drum, £32 + VAT.  Might treat myself, esp as her Rover drinks it like petrol....

Was that just the Banbury stealer?

As I have a few flushes yet left to do it would come in handy......

as per other thread, yes please, save me a trip. Actually your going to regret posting the above...

1) - Box (20) of the standard spin on filters
2) - I'll have a drum of that anti-freeze too, thats a good price
3) - If they have any of the 5L screen wash bottles, get me 4
4) - If they have them in stock, couple of brake sensor cables

 :)

1) I can provide you with 10 oil filters at £1.50 (inc VAT) - current price is £1.67 (inc VAT @ 17.5%), as I got a load at the old price and old VAT rate.

2) 20l?

3) bloody hell, how much do you get through :o

4) presumably not the pre 97 2.0l type

2) 20l?

Might as well, it will get used sooner or later, got enough for mother tunnies themostat, but father tunnies is getting a tad sticky so that needs doing, plus when i do my LPG, i will flush the coolant.
