Just back with Mrs Markie from 3 days in the big city :y
Both loved it - I know London pretty well but havent been for 5 years.
And boy its changed - it was dirty, arrogant and faceless when i used to frequently visit my mate in Tower Bridge.
But Now :o
Charming, spotlessly clean, friendly faces, Taxis that stop to let pedestrians cross outwith pedestrian crossings and Police happy to mingle, talk and pose for pictures!!!!!
I dont know who is responsible- is it a post july 11th change, is it Ken Livingston's input - i honestly dont know but well done London!!
Oh and staying in Notting Hill / Kensington area i lost count of Astons, Bentlys, Ferraris, etc etc i saw - even a Lambo Gillardo.
Oh and an 03 omega police car with Haz chem stickers too :o
Cant wait to go back :)

The red cars are the Diplomatic Protection unit (a lot of foreign embassies in London), and they armed. Armed officers is sadly not so unusual these days, but a few years ago the Red cars were a warning sign...

Glad you enjoyed London... :y
As TD said, you were obviously not driving through... ;D
The most expensive petrol in the UK, £8 Congestion Charge, £4 per hour street parking (more in NCP car parks), and traffic wardens at every street corner... this is NOT fun :(

thats an intresting website :)
Saw what i believe to be the pm escorted by harrods: white noise ( whistles) followed by 4 police motorbikes followed by a blue audi estate with 4 suited and booted - a black Jag - and then a chyrsler voyager thing... at the back was a black range rover with "KEEP CLEAR" on a sign at the back....they were stopping for no one 8-)

No Omegas...? :(

Most of the omegas in London are used for ferrying muppet ministers around. Thats why London is so expensive,if you watch the news & you see a clip of a muppet arriving at Downing St its usually in an omega or 2 jags :-X
